The Result - Our partnership with Premier Foods has helped them to innovate with the greatest chance of success. In line with our philosophy of learn, not just test, Catalyx also surfaced common consumer appeal factors using meta-analysis across concept tests, to further refine & progress Premier Foods’ innovation capability.
The Challenge - Premier Foods have an ambitious innovation agenda and came to Catalyx needing a partner who could help them maximise their chances of in-market success, on a systematic basis. As part of developing the right ideas in the right way, Premier Foods also needed a partner who could provide direction as to the likely incremental sales an innovation would bring to their overall brand portfolio.
How we did it - We applied a unique approach that combines our award-winning Consumer Understanding System and the Catalyx Elevation Process™. This involved activating over 58k consumers, testing over 350 concepts. Using both our Screen & Optimise and Category Context solutions, we uncovered the key action-oriented recommendations to unlock category and brand growth. Additionally, all of Premier Foods’ cross-study data was pooled to create a robust data lake of closed and open responses, allowing for enriched meta-analysis to uncover unique insights that couldn’t have been identified otherwise.
